Welcome Week

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is May 24th, 27th-28th. At Welcome Week, incoming 7th graders can better understand what FBC Raymore Youth is all about. All Youth members learn respect, responsibilty, and the purpose of relationships. There are lots of fun activities, and it's a great way for our youth to grow closer together.

Small Groups

On Sunday nights the FBC youth breaks into small groups to grow in faith and understanding of what God's word means for their lives. This is a time of discipleship as well as fellowship.

Youth Band

Our youth band is a fun opportunity for teenagers with a love for music to share with others the talent God gave them. They practice on Sunday nights and perform Wednesday nights at youth group and occasionally on Sunday mornings for the congregation.

Bible-teaching classes are provided for 7th through 12th graders. Sunday school is from 10:45-11:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Grades 7th - 9th are taught by Aaron and Catie Howlett. Grades 10th - 12th are taught by Richard Easton. These classes are full of fun and learning. Classes utilize Lifeway's "Gospel Project" materials. The Gospel Project is a three year chronological bible study for all ages. Each week there is a "Christ Connection." This shows kids, teenagers, and adults that we can take any point in scripture and link it back to Jesus. Parents can access additional resources for use with their children at www.gospelproject.com including family devotionals, ipad activity apps and more.

Awesomegust

Awesomegust is a great month for our youth. Awesome August Wednesday Nights is our last summer kabang! Each Wednesday night is a different, creative, water activity for our youth and friends to enjoy. It has included the annual favorite 100 ft long Slip n' Slide Sledding to last year's first Slip n' Slide and Baby Pool Kickball game. This year we experimented with Redneck lawn skiing! This is a great way to kick off the new school year, welcome in the new seventh graders, and grow closer as a youth. Please bring a friend!

Chalk Night at Raymore Elementary

In honor of the start of MAP testing, the FBC Raymore youth decided to get elbows deep in chalk. The kids wrote encouraging notes and drew awesome pictures to keep the kids at Raymore Elementary School's spirits high during the weeks of testing. It was an awesome event that all the youth enjoyed and can't wait to participate in next year.

Superbowl Party

Every Super Bowl FBC Youth meets at the Dawson's for fellowship and fun. Bring something to drink or a dessert. There is always a fun food theme and a short devotion during halftime. It's a great time to invite friends and get to know one another. This year's theme was build your own wood fired pizza. Can't wait to see what next year's will be!
