Our Mission Starts at Home
FBC Raymore is currently the host site for the Refuge, a place for teens to meet and have fun, free from the influence of underage drinking and drug use. The Refuge usually meets once a month, but they try to stay current with school activities and other happenings when they can engage this culture. To volunteer, please contact the church office at 816-331-3469.
The Care About Nutrition Program of the Raymore-Peculiar School District is designed to help children with nutritional needs when they are off school or on weekends. Our church partners with the school district and donates food, and volunteers to aid such a wonderful program.

Raymore Elementary Learning Garden
First Baptist Church of Raymore partners very closely with Raymore Elementary. One way we work in this school is through the learning garden. Our church is dedicated to the growth and upkeep of the School's learning garden and through that we are able to have many other opportunities to touch the lives of families in our district.
Foxwood Springs Devotional
On the second Thursday of each month, we have the opportunity to assist in sharing hymns and a devotion with Foxwood Springs residents from the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing areas. The devotion is from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Contact the church at 816-331-3469 to volunteer.

Sole Food Collection
FBC Raymore are currently collecting used shoes for the Sole Food Drive in partnership with Friends Against Hunger and The Shoeman Water Projects. A collection barrel for used shoes is in the Fellowship Hall Coat Rack Area. Shoes need to be a complete pair with no holes or large tears in them. Tie shoe laces together or wrap shoes with a rubber band.
This Drive has three benefits:
1. Provides affordable footwear to those in need in underdeveloped countries
2. Part of the proceeds go to Friends Against Hunger, an organization that provides nutritious meals to families all around the world.
3. The remainder of the proceeds go to the Shoeman Water Projects to purchase well drilling rigs, water filtration systems, and other supplies that brings clean water to areas in need.
Click here for more information about Sole Food.
On Community Days, FBC Raymore goes out into Raymore to help those in need. We have worked alongside Raymore Parks and Rec to make flower beds in the park, we have done yard and home maintenance for the elderly men and women in our community, have had free services here at the church, a safety presentation, and have even hosted a blood drive. We are currently planning our 3rd Community Day.
Walk for Life
FBC Raymore participates in the Walk for Life put on by the Life Choice Center each year. This is a 2 mile walk to raise money for the Life Choice Center, and their services. Life Choice Center is committed to offering compassionate care to individuals facing pregnancy related issues by offering resources and practical assistance for life-affirming choices.
For the last several years, FBC Raymore has been the host site for the Apple Festival. The Apple Festival benefits the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, whom FBC Raymore partners with throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for FBC Raymore to serve children in need and to get to know our community better. There is a Quilt and Craft Auction, Handmade Craft Sales, Free Children's Games and Prizes, Food, and Live Christian Entertainment. Churches from all over the area come out to set up booths or serve. Go to www.mbch.org for more information. Next year's Apple Festival will be in September.
T.O.T.S.O.C.E. (Trick Or Treat So Others Can Eat)
T.O.T.S.O.C.E. is an annual activity our church youth participates in. Every year in the month of October, our youth sat out into neighbors around Raymore asking citizens to leave a bag of nonperishable food items on their doorstep the following Sunday. Then, they would head out the following week and collect all the "treats" set out on doorsteps. They concluded the evening with tatertots and koolaid back at the church to celebrate. All cans collected went to Fishes N Loaves Food Pantry.
Trunk or Treat
Every year on Halloween our church hosts Trunk or Treat. There's food, games, tons of candy, and lots of awesome people to meet. So stop by for a safe and enjoyable Halloween for the whole family. Trunk or Treat is from 6-8 p.m.
Coming again Summer 2018.
Sports Crusaders provides quality sports camps for children and youth. We offer skill-enhancing camps in five sporting endeavors: basketball, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, and baseball/softball.
Although our camps are comparable in quality and content of those offered by collegiate programs, what sets us apart is our staff. These college-aged Christian coaches are dedicated to helping young people develop their athletic skills, as well as their relationship with Christ.
Coaches spend time each day in what is called a “half time” teaching the campers to apply God’s Word in their sport and in their lives. Most importantly, campers are presented with the gospel message and given the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Annual School Supply Giveaway
Each year our church comes together to help families in our community who may struggle financially. We know school shopping can be expensive, especially for families with multiple children. Church members can adopt a student and can provide what is on their specific school supply list. If you would like to sponsor a child or if you or your family needs help this upcoming school year, contact the church office or Sandy Baldwin.
Operation Christmas Child
FBC Raymore is an Operation Christmas Child drop off location and donates around 400 shoeboxes a year to support such an amazing organization. Operation Christmas Child is an organization that delivers packed shoeboxes full of gifts and hygiene products all over the world to children in need. Each child that receives a shoebox also gets a devotional book that walks them through the gospel. OCC has shared the joy of love, meaningful gifts and God with 124 million children since 1993.
We collected over $1000 this year towards shipping costs. Keep up the great work FBC!
