The Bible: We believe the Bible was written by man and divinely inspired by God. All scripture is true and trustworthy. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without error, for its matter.
Salvation: We have a great need...
"All have turned away, together they have become useless; there is no one who does good, there is not even one." (Romans 3:12) Because we have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23) we have no hope of salvation apart from God.
We have hope...
Salvation is the forgiveness of sins and achieved through a personal relationship with Jesus and receiving the gift of eternal life. We receive salvation only through faith.
- John 3:16
- Ephesians 2:8-9
- Romans 6:23
- Romans 5:8
- Romans 10:9-10
The Trinity: God the creator is the one and only God. He is a personal being, our redeemer, preserver and ruler of the universe. He is completely holy, all knowing and all powerful. He has perfect knowledge of the past, present, and the future. He reveals Himself to us as the eternal triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Personal Demonstration of Faith: Through Baptism and the Lord’s Supper; Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water and in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). It is a symbolic act of obedience and a testimony of faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior and the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial of the death of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. It symbolizes the shed blood of Christ for believers, which is a new covenant (Luke 21:14-23).
